LA Weekend 2

We took off on Friday to head to LA for a long weekend...we really wanted to do a studio tour and they only run M-F. The pic above is from dinner Thursday night at Spago Beverly Hills. It was magnificent...truly magnificent.
Friday morning we got up super early to head to Warner Bros. for a studio tour. How excited was I to see "Central Perk"?! They reassembled everything from the show in their props warehouse b/c apparently so many people on the tour had wanted to know where it was. ER just finished their series filming there and they were already tearing down the set...so sad. Other shows that film there now are "Ellen," "Two and Half Men," and "Gossip Girl." I have no pics, but we also went on the NBC studio tour. We saw the Tonight Show set with the highlight being catching the end of Ziggy Marley and his band rehearsing for that night's show. We could have gone to the show that night, but didn't want to wait in line for 3 hours until showtime and there was no one on that we were interested in. However, had I known earlier who was set to be on Jimmy Kimmel that night, I totally would've tried to get tics for that! Hello, Matthew McConaughey! Brian would have been soooo excited.

Friday night we met up with friends for dinner at a Morraccan restaurant with belly dancer entertainment. The food was fab and of course I had to get up and dance!

Saturday morning we headed to the Getty for some culture. Brian titled this scupture "Sliding into home." You can take us to a museum, but...

Our last stop before heading home was the Santa Monica Pier. We had lunch at the end of the pier, rode the ferris wheel, and walked around a bit. Our ice cream cones were the perfect end to our LA adventure!
