Ireland 5

While in Killarney, we also went on an excursion to Dingle along Slea Head Drive. We stopped at the Blasket Islands Centre. Blasket Island is in the pic above and was inhabited until 1953. If you look close you can see the white dots that are the houses that remain.
Pretty stream we crossed on our way down toward the beach to view the Island.

Scenic stop in Dingle...the scenery just kept getting more and more amazing.

Town of Dingle where we had lunch at Harrington's. Incredible fish and chips, seafood chowder, and calamari...yum!

This isn't very Irish, but was THE BEST cup of hot chocolate I have ever had in my life...it deserved more than a picture. By the way, when in Ireland go to Killarney for the nightlife. It was hopping...of course we were also there on a weekend. We saw numerous stag and hen parties (bachelor/bachelorette) that were hysterical. They all tend to dress up in matching outfits...just shirts mostly for the guys, but we saw girls dressed as Pink Ladies, Bumblebees, etc.
I am working my way through blogging Ireland...but have only made it to day 8. Stay tuned tomorrow for Adare and Limerick.
